Holidays
These are just a few pictures from my winter break. We made 407 pepper nuts at my grandma's house, like we do every year, which is so much fun. Brett and I sang in our church youth choir Christmas Eve and our neighbors came with us. Then my neighbors, my grandparents, and us all ate dinner and exchanged gifts. It was so much fun. On christmas day it was just my grandparents and us, that was great. I got a new bike and a bunch of other too. Thank you to everyone who made this holiday season special to me.

Kansas- Thanksgiving
For thanksgiving we went to my grandma's house in Pratt, Kansas. There were 21 people plus a dog. It was so much fun!! I love going to Pratt, love the small towns. We arrived late Tuesday Nov. 24 about 11:00 p.m there. On wednesday Katie, Dan, Colby, and Uncle Bill came in the afternoon, Aunt Pam was already here. At about 9:00 p.m Uncle Mike, Aunt Lynne, Jennifer, David, Jerry, Eliot, and Bethany arrived from Texas. Aunt Pat, Uncle Don who live in Pratt. Their two son's John and Travis came too. We had people from California, Colorado, Kansas, Texas, and South Carolina, i think. Our family came from the east and west. It was great. So wednesday we just waited for people to come and chilled all day. Thursday we had our Turkey Trot that was about 1 1/2 miles, twice around Lemon Park. I finished 2nd with John and Brett of course won. John Keller and Barbara also ran with us, even though they are not technically family. Then Kiley arrived Thursday afternoon and we had a delicious turkey and ham dinner. We played games after that. On friday the girl cousins did a fashion show with my grandma's old clothes and then she told stories about each one. After the fashion show my grandma got out all her jewelry and we got to go through it and take what we want, there was a bunch of cool things in there. We all hung out on Friday too. Then Saturday we left but first we went shopping! We left at 1:00 p.m there time. This trip was so much fun!!! Thanks Grandma!

I have a Facebook now, so I spend time on that and that's why i havn't been taking care of this for awhile. Sorry. and don't forget to scroll down to look at Halloween, Fall Retreat, and State posts.
STATE!
Brett was able to run in state yesterday!! After months of running more than 5 miles just about everyday, he would run everyday but sometimes i think only like 3 miles but anyway Brett's been running everyday since August and finally in November he could run in state. Since he did that I had to give up my last soccer game of the season and the end of the season party which wasn't much fun but i got a t-shirt that on the back says "proud sister" from him running in state, so i would've rather gone to my game and be running around but oh well. I guess i just have to suck it up and deal with it, cuz there's nothin' i can do now about it. :) oh ya, Brett and some of the other top 7 on the team shaved their legs for state. eww
Fall Retreat
Today I just got back from our youth groups Fall Retreat. We met Friday night and got back Sunday morning. We stayed in two different church's and did a bunch of fun stuff plus 3 sessions. We went to jump street and Casa Bonita! Both fun places. We also handed out lunch's to the homeless at a park downtown.
Halloween!
Happy Halloween, i know it's late. Sorry i haven't blogged for a while. On halloween i had some friends over for about an hour i think, i'm not really sure, then the guys left and went somewhere and the girls stayed at my house and we went to 2 houses in my neighborhood and the rest in one of the Homestead's. There were 5 of us. We stayed out till about 9:20 and my hands were cold, wonder woman was the only smart one who brought gloves. We all went as super hero's there was superman, bat man, spider man, wonder woman and me, Super Bam. My nickname is bam or bamer slamer so I was Super Bam.

First Day of School- New backpack
Yay!!!!???? Today was the first day of seventh grade. We went two hours later so the sixth graders wouldn't get swarmed with older kids, ha ha. I didn't get a new backpack this year because if I did I would have to pay for it, so I splatter painted my old black one. Everybody was gone and I was home alone. My mom said it was okay to do it as long it was outside in the rocks. Well, bummer, it was raining and thundering and lightening. So that was a downer. So i just decided to splatter paint it in the kitchen. Heck, why not, nobody was home to stop me? My mom found out, but she wasn't mad (thank goodness) because I didn't make a mess! I laid down newspaper and put it up the cupboards in a corner. When I told brett and my dad, I got a really funny picture of them searching the ceiling looking for paint, which there was none. It was great, and it looks super cool! I would have pics, but only one would upload and it was of the newspaper. So i just decided not to post it. I will try again sometime.....maybe. See Ya!

More Tri Pics
Here are some more extra pictures that were taken at the Triathlon. So the very bottom picture is me with all of my "fans". There's my dad, my grandma from Kansas that was staying with us, Brett, Tyler, and Edwin. The teenage guys all rode their bike which was a 30 mile ride round trip. They left at about 7:00 (oh ya i woke up at 5:40 a.m.) and got there about 8:30 I think. The next one up is me waiting to get called over to the start of the 12-14 year-old triathlon. Then the next one up is my transition area that you set up before it starts. Then the 2nd picture down is me right after the race drinking a gatorade. I hadn't had anything to drink during that except for one sip on the bike, but then when I was putting it back the water bottle fell out, so I had to stop to get that. When i got back on my bike my shoe came untied, and I was scared it was going to get caught in the chain, but I didn't do anything about till the run. The top picture is me right after I received my award, the second place ribbon. Scroll down if you want to learn about our stay-cation, or more triathlon stuff. Thanks.
Swim, Bike, Run, Soccer!!!!
On August 1st, I competed in my 5th Triathlon!!! It's called the Fall Frenzy for kids 6-14. My age group did a snake swim for 200 meters, 8 mile hilly bike ride, and 2 mile run. I finished 2nd in my age group which was 13-year-old girls. I compete a year older than I really am. The girl who beat me was on a competitive triathlon team, that basically means they train, I don't really train except for swim team which ended about 3 weeks before this. My soccer coach had called the night before and said she was scheduling a practice tomorrow afternoon. So we left right after the triathlon awards, came home, was home about 5 minutes, and then we were on our way to an hour and half of soccer. Wow, I was tired, but I love triathlons and soccer so even though my dad didn't want me doing both, I couldn't miss either soccer or the tri, so ya i did do both. I'll post more pics in the next post.

Stay-Cation
Last week, i think, we went on a stay-cation, which is a vacation without going away. They are actually more fun than they seem. We went to the movies, up to Estes Park, climbed a fourteener, and went to the mall. We saw UP in 3D, which I don't like animation, but this was okay. In Estes Brett and my dad, went mountain climbing and my mom and I went horseback riding. Then m brother and I went go-carting, which was super fun, Brett won. Then on Wednesday Mocha, Me, Brett, my mom, and my dad climbed Mt. Shermon. So it was fun, and if you are looking for a way to save money and have fun, try a stay-cation.

Finals!!!! and Brett gets home
So prelims were last thursday, then 2 of my relay teams made it to finals, but one of them was was disqualified (DQ) because our coach made a mistake, but my first one got to go to finals. And we got a medal from that. Brett got home that night from Belize so we went to the airport to get him. The on sunday I went to church then Brett, Tyler, Eric, Edwin, Brandon, and me went to the park to play Ultimate Frisbee just with ourselves and then that night we went to my swim team banquet. So the first picture is of all the 11-12 girls on the team, which we won the finals in that age group, i'm pretty sure. Then the next one, the next 3 are of me actually at finals. WHich were hosted be Stonegate with 18 different teams. And the last one is me and my grandparents at the airport with the sign i made for the teens coming back from Belize. TTYL

Catching up..
So here are some smaller topics to get caught up on. Right now Brett is in BELIZE!!! with our church on a mission trip. They are building a pre-school. We have built the 1st story 2 staircases and now Brett's group is working on the 2nd story. He has been there since July 2 when he left at 3:30 a.m and I went to say bye. He'll get back...well I don't know when but he's there for 10 days total so. In May I tried out for Colorado United Soccer and made the U-13 Girls Red team. I have been swimming a bunch and prelims are on Thursday then Finals are on Saturday if I make it. I don't know what to say except if you want you can scroll down because I think I have posted 5 (including this one) new posts in the last 2 days. School starts in about one and half months, so not ready for that, and officially my summer is busier than the school year.
Happy 4th of July!!!

Hope you all an AWESOME 4th of July!! Mine was pretty amazing, and it was good to be home (we have been out of town for the past 5 years on the 4th). So this year my friend Amy and I made t-shirts and then wore them in the parade that my neighborhood does every year, and we also dribbled the soccer balls. So I woke up got dressed then went over to our neighbors house and I have been kitten- sitting for the last few days. There are 2 kittens, Bella and Ruby who are absolutely adorable, with very sharp claws. They are about 12 weeks old the owner said. Then we went to the parade and it ended at our Park so I stayed there for about 3 hours. In the afternoon my grandparents came over, we had B-B-Q then they left and we went over to our church to watch fireworks. Except we got there early so me and 3 of my friends played 4-square which was a lot of fun and we played volleyball, and rolled down the hill which was wet. Then it was cold, but still the night was fun. So the pics are of Amy and I at the parade, then there is one where I'm holding the kittens which at that point weren't as excited to be held, and the one with the ladybug I just took, because the lady bug was climbing on a bush in out yard so I took a picture.
